Medical Marijuana And Big Tobacco

According to a report by Anthony York, Los Angeles Times -

"The state's largest doctor group is calling for legalization of marijuana, even as it pronounces cannabis to be of questionable medical value.

Trustees of the California Medical Assn., which represents more than 35,000 physicians statewide, adopted the position at their annual meeting in Anaheim late Friday. It is the first major medical association in the nation to urge legalization of the drug, according to a group spokeswoman, who said the larger membership was notified Saturday."

And before anyone could even say "Holy Smokes!", the rumor mill has it that Big Tobacco has already capitalized on this news and is prepared for the opportunity to be THE leader in this lucrative field, should medical marijuana sales become legalized federally. My Sixth Sense About Smoking

People often ask me why I continue to devote so much of my time and energy operating this anti-smoking blog? They figure that people are already fully aware of the consequences and dangers of a nicotine addiction, so there's really nothing that I can do to keep them from making foolish choices. But, I disagree.

What people don't understand about me, is that I have a sixth sense about these things, and I see things that they refuse to see. I've been able to see these things ever since I was a young boy, watching my parents smoke themselves to death. It scares the crap out of me.

So, maybe if I share what I see, some people will come to believe what I have to say.
